Portal amplifier in the Workshop world is the crystal with a cog connected. Six amplifiers can be connected to one Portal.
Spinning the cog increases the amplifying coefficient (shown on the crystal).
The total Portal's amplification is the sum of the coefficients of all the amplifiers connected.
The cog can get connected to another Cogwheel or Engine or Hammer
